Commissioning a portrait really affirms your 4 legged companion as a valued member of the family, as well as being a beautiful addition to your home.

The bond between human and animal is uniquely special and has the power to bring love, companionship and healing. I’ve never doubted the therapeutic qualities of these incredible animals, but since starting my journey as a Portrait Artist, I’m ever more aware of their ability to enhance our lives.   

 I truly believe that taking the time to talk to each client about the subject; his or her uniqueness, what the relationship means to them, the little quirks (muddy paws/ hooves/ claws, stolen sandwiches and all), is essential in order to truly capture their spirit.  I don’t want to draw any animal – I want to draw your animal. 

 I know that it’s not only dogs, cats and horses that become much loved members of the family.  I would be equally delighted to create a portrait of any type of pet, or of a favourite wild animal.
